Have you noticed a little blue bird popping up all over the internet? That blue bird is the logo for a website called Twitter. It hit the EASY Button in the last few months and it’s clearly one of the places to be.
I’ve had a Twitter account for many months but largely ignored it because the internet can be like television and suck your brains. You can easily fall into the trap that you are going to learn something new and useful. I already spend too long in front of the computer as it is. I’ve ignored Facebook but failed, Linkedin but failed again, and know I’ve done the same with Twitter. I am an internet, Web 2.0, social media junkie. It’s my Uncle Author’s fault for triggering my interest in computer technology when I was little.
I like to focus on one thing and become really good at it – in this case blogging and running my business – but you don’t want to get left behind either, and since Twitter isn’t too labor intensive to manage (compared to MySpace, which I closed), I’ve decided to bend to the will of the people and get active tweeting.
Mostly, because people think I’m an impersonal cold-blooded, hard-charging business man and ruthless negoitator looking to squeeze every dime I can from a green bean or pecan pie… which is true!

What Is Twitter?
If you don’t know Twitter, it’s basically a website that lets you post short sentences to update folks on what you are doing. People follow you and you can follow others.
I’m not experienced at Twitter yet, but my gut is that those who already have an interesting life receive the most followers. So, I might get only 3 followers, who knows?!
